Becker College offers a Bachelor of Arts in Design degree program in which students can focus on interior design, interactive entertainment and graphic design. The graphic design path teaches technical and specialized skills in the principles of art and design. To receive the graphic design degree, students will need to accumulate 124 credit hours of coursework during the four-year program. General education classes include English, math, psychology and public speaking. Core degree coursework includes graphic design, Macromedia Flash animation, professional practices in design, advanced web design, and advertising, publication and package design. Students will also take several graphic design elective courses and complete an internship.

Assumption College offers a program in graphic design and multimedia through its continuing and career education department. The program requires six classes that can be completed in three terms. They include typography, principles of marketing, multimedia development for the Web and graphic design I, II and III. Students will obtain skills and training to become graphic designers who are able to combine information and visual images effectively. Using the most up-to-date technology, students will expand their creativity and develop a foundation in illustration, design, marketing and critical thinking. Program graduates receive a certificate. Students may diversify their education by pursuing the four-year Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in graphic design and multimedia.

American Career Institute (ACI) is in Framingham, 22 miles outside of Worcester. The school offers a program in graphics design that trains students to create and design print ads, company logos and magazine layouts. Instruction includes programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. ACI also offers a training program in graphics and Web design. The program is similar to the graphic design program, but students will also learn to design websites. It can be completed in three months and graduates receive a certificate of completion.

Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University, located 39 miles away in Waltham, offers a program for graphics and Web design. It gives students skills to design and create ads, packages and publications. Through classroom and hands-on training, students learn multimedia, publication design, file preparation and interactivity. Instruction will also address portfolio development, running a business and challenges graphic designers face. Full-time students can complete the program in two terms and will receive a certificate of completion.
