Technical Colleges for Environmental Horticulture

Environmental horticulture is a degree that encompasses landscaping, green practices, restoring the environment and ornamental horticulture. It is frequently offered as a two-year degree at a technical or community college or as a certificate. There are also several four-year programs. Most programs offer hands-on education in landscaping, greenhouse technology and ecology. The environmental horticluture field is growing with an increasing focus on alternative energy and sustainable business practices.
