What was Thomas Edison training or education?
Thomas Edison received very little formal education. He attended school for only three months, his teacher deeming him "addled." His mother then took over his education, teaching him at home. He was largely self-educated through voracious reading and hands-on experimentation. He learned telegraphy as a young man, a skill that greatly influenced his career and provided him with a practical, technical grounding. So his "training" was largely self-directed and apprenticeship-based, focusing on practical skills rather than formal academic study.
