Bob Bondurant Racing School of High Performance Driving

• A previous World Manufacturers' Championship winner and, Bob Bondurant helms the Bob Bondurant Racing School of High Performance Driving, located in Chandler, Arizona. The school opened in 1968 and moved to its present location in the Phoenix suburb in 1990. The school is the Official High Performance Driving School of Chevrolet and has 200 racing, high-performance and other vehicles in its fleet, including race cars like the Chevrolet Corvette Z51 Coupe and Cadillac CTS V vehicles.

  The school offers racing programs for beginners through advanced drivers. The basic introductory courses lasts for one day and covers basics like accident avoidance and skid control. For advanced drivers, both a road racing and a formula course are available. Students receive five hours of driving time each day and can elect to receive one, two or three days of instruction. The Bob Bondurant Racing School of High Performance Driving also has classes for Grand Prix racing.

Skip Barber Racing School

• Winner of two Formula Ford National Championships, John "Skip" Barber founded the Skip Barber Racing School in 1975. The school has five primary facilities in the United States: the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California; the Road America track in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin; the Road Atlanta facility in Braselton, Georgia; the Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida; and Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut. The school also offers workshop classes at 70 other speedways in the United States each year. The five primary locations have 201 racecars, the largest fleet of racing cars in the world, according to the school's website as of October 2010.

  For beginners, the Skip Barber Racing School offers three-hour introductory class that teaches basic fundamentals, which include one hour of driving time. One and three-day racing schools for novices are also available. Students can elect whether they wish to learn to drive formula cars or Mazda MX-5 Cup race cars. Advanced courses in lapping and car control are also offered as well as a two-day advanced program for graduates of the three-day introductory school. Course offerings vary from location to location.

Stock Car Racing Experience at the Pocono Raceway

• The Stock Car Racing Experience is located at the Pocono Raceway in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania. The beginners' classes begin with out-of-car training in safety and handling. Students then have the opportunity to get behind the wheel. Students elect how many laps of practice they wish to purchase and can opt for eight, 16, 24 or 32 lap packages. The driving practice is "follow-the-leader" style, during which students' drive behind an instructor who sets the pace for the practice.

  Advanced students at the Stock Car Racing Experience at the Pocono Raceway can participate in a 12-lap, ride-along class called The Qualifier, in which an instructor sits in the passenger seat, providing feedback throughout the class. Upon completion of The Qualifier, students move on the The Advanced course, a 30-lap, ride-along experience that allows students to practice at speeds common during professional races.
