Kenyatta University in Nairobi is the second-largest in the country. Although the institution began as Kenyatta College in 1965, it became an official university under the then-new president, Daniel arap Moi. Kenyatta is now divided into three separate schools: Agriculture and Enterprise Development, Applied Human Sciences, and Business. The university is an adamant supporter of tolerance and diversity with activities such as the annual culture week that students can take part in. For international students, the school offers a summer program called "Adventures in Africa," where they can take a series of classes on African culture and history.
