How to Send TOEFL Scores Online

Originally a paper-based only exam, the Test for English Foreign Language is now offered only as an Internet-based version, using the ETS servers to save scores and complete the exam. While TOELF still measures your ability to write, read, speak and listen in English, the test remains a prerequisite for students wishing to study at an English-speaking university. As an Internet-based exam, students take the TOELF at a testing center and electronically send their scores to schools, allowing them to add or change schools while at the center or at home.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your TOEFL account. Enter your user name and password. Since the TOEFL saves all your scores on the ETS servers, you can log in and access your scores at any time.

    • 2

Click on "View Orders" on the home page.

    • 3

Select the universities you wish to send the scores to by clicking "Select Schools." ETS allows you to send the scores to four schools free of charge; each additional school will cost a fee. Enter the name and address of each of the schools. Once you are finished, select "Finish" to send your scores. Your scores are kept on the servers for up to two years from the original test date.
