How to Request a SMART Transcript

SMART stands for the Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript. SMART transcripts are academic transcripts used to validate the military experience and training of Navy and Marine Corps members. The American Council on Education provides college credit recommendations based on training and experience. This transcript is available to all current and former members of the Navy and Marine Corps. Official SMART transcripts can be ordered by filling out a form and faxing it or mailing it to the Navy Center for Personal and Professional Development.

  Download the official SMART transcript request at https://smart.navy.mil/request.pdf or by clicking on the "How to request an official transcript" link on the Navy SMART webpage.

  Open the downloaded file and print the form. The file may open automatically in your web browser when you click the link, depending on the browser and the browser settings.

  Fill out the form, printing legibly, and sign it.

  Mail or fax the completed form. If mailing the form, send it to:
