The admission office at Meharry Medical College sends a confirmation to the eligible applicants, after the school receives their primary application from the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). The school further processes the application on receipt of the supplemental application that the student submits online, MCAT scores, application fees, compliance with technical standards and letters of recommendation. The school considers the MCAT scores from the previous three years. The latest MCAT score that the school considers is that of the MCAT test taken in the month of January of the year the student applies.
The University of Toledo considers the ACMAS applications that the students have submitted to begin the admission process. They consider the MCAT scores within the past three years of the application dates, and the admissions office of the university considers the January MCAT scores corresponding to the applicants for the medical school class that matriculates during the month of August that year. But the admission office discourages this because the interview process concludes in March and, in some cases, the students might not have received their scores until then.
The institution accepts the student applications through AMCAS from June to December and then reviews these applications for their completeness. The college considers the MCAT scores that are within two years at the time of application. The college does not regard the January MCAT as a basis to consider the student for an interview. But, they do consider the score as a basis to decide the further processes if the applicant is on a waiting list after the interview.
The osteopathic medical colleges consider the MCAT scores corresponding to January of that year for admission. The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona consider the January scores if seats are available. The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lincoln Memorial University, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Oklahoma State University and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences are some other colleges that consider the MCAT scores of the current January.
