Type open parenthesis, the last name of the producer, an ampersand, the last name of the director, a comma, the year the film was released, and close parenthesis. This reference should appear at the end of a sentence. For instance, The motion picture A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum makes frequent use of slapstick comedy (Frank & Lester, 1966).
List two or more producers or directors by separating the last names with commas. Place an ampersand with no comma between the second to last name and the last name. After the last name, place a comma and the year of release. For example, Gone With the Wind addresses the rebuilding of the South after the Civil War (Selznick, Fleming, Cukor & Wood, 1939).
Refer to five producers and directors by last name the first time you reference them in text. After that, list the last name of the first producer, the words "et al." (meaning "and others") and the date. For instance, first reference: (Jones, Thompson, Smith, Wendell & Peters, 1999). Second reference: (Jones et al., 1999).
Refer to a film with six or more producers and directors by using the first producer's name, the words "et al.," a comma, and the date of release. For instance: (Smith et al., 1933).
Start endnotes on a fresh page after the last page of the paper. Type and center the word "Endnotes" at the top of the page. Endnotes are listed in alphabetical order. They provide a full citation for the brief in-text references used throughout the document.
Create a hanging indent. This is an indent where the first line starts flush left and subsequent lines of your paragraph are indented. In Word, create a hanging indent by clicking the "View Ruler" box on the upper right-hand side of the page. Then click the small box at the left upper corner until the words "Hanging Indent" appear. Use the horizontal ruler at the top of the page to set your hanging indent at 0.5 inches.
List all producers of the movie by last name and first and middle initial (if known). Place a comma between each name. At the end of your list, type open parenthesis, "Producer" or "Producers" and close parenthesis. Next type an ampersand and list all the directors by last name and first and middle initial (if known). Place a comma between each name. At the end of your list, type open parenthesis, "Director" or "Directors" and close parenthesis. Complete this part of your citation with a period. Examples: Frank, M. (Producer) & Lester, R. (Director). Or: Selznick, D.O. (Producer) & and Fleming, V., Cukor, G. & Wood, S. (Directors).
Type a space after (Director). Then type open parenthesis, year of release, close parenthesis, and a period. Example: Frank, M. (Producer) & Lester, R. (Director). (1966).
Type a space after the close parenthesis. Then type the name of the motion picture. The title should be in italics. Only capitalize the first word of the title, any proper names appearing in the title, or any word that appears after a colon (:). After you have typed the title, type open bracket, "Motion picture," close bracket and a period. Example: Frank, M. (Producer) & Lester R. (Director). (1966). A funny thing happened on the way to the forum [Motion picture].

Example: Frank, M. (Producer) & Lester, R. (Director). (1966). A funny thing happened on the way to the forum [Motion picture]. United States: United Artists and Melvin Frank Productions.
