Goucher College has a resident teacher certification program for students who seek a career change as well as those who are leaving the military. Goucher College partners with Baltimore County Public Schools to provide this two-year dual alternative certification program in special and regular education. During the first year students participate in intensive coaching, and the second year consists of a supervisory protocol. To enroll in the program, students must be accepted by the Baltimore County Public School System. Students who are interested in earning a Master of Arts in teaching complete the remaining credits to be applied to that degree.
