List of Top Dental Schools in the United States

Unique among most graduate and undergraduate schools, the dental schools resist a standard annual ranking by consumer magazine US News and World Report. Instead, there is no "official" list of the best dental schools in the United States. However, based upon matriculation rates, average test scores, average Grade Point Averages (GPAs) and general word of mouth, there are ways to rank the schools into tiers. Among the highest tier you will find Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Washington, Columbia University and the University of California San Francisco.
