RN Coder Programs

An RN Coder is a registered nurse who has completed a program to become certified in medical or clinical coding. RNs who are interested in combining their nursing career with coding must first complete a medical coding program, followed by certification from either the American Health Information Management Association or the American Academy of Professional Coders. A number of coding training programs offer courses completely online to make it easier for an RN to work around her schedule.
