Create a strategic plan review committee with a mix of people including educators and administrators.
Divide the content of the curriculum strategic plan into a table with six columns that are labeled objective, strategies, performance measures, action plan, resources and status. Fill in each column with specific information from the curriculum strategic plan. As an example, an objective of expanding an academic program could have a strategy of evaluating competitive programs; a performance measure of conducting market research for determining student satisfaction with different programs; an action plan for completing the market research in one month; a cost associated with implementing the survey under resources.
Ask the creators of the curriculum strategic plan to present an analysis for each element of the strategic plan. Determine whether the action plans presented are aligned with the institution's objectives.
Review each objective against the corresponding performance measure and action plan time line. Fill in the status column with an update for the percentage of the objective that has been accomplished on the date of the review.
Identify any additional resources needed to remove any blockages to implementation.
Create a review committee report with a list of findings, observations and recommendations.
