Schools With MCSE Certification

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification is designed for people who work or plan to work with computer infrastructures. People who receive their certification are successful in installing, configuring and troubleshooting network systems on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. At some schools the MCSE certification has been updated to the MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) and/or MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist).

    • Kaplan University offers a series of Microsoft certification programs for students who already have a bachelors degree and are interested in increasing skills for working with different Microsoft operating systems. The school includes both the MCSE and MCTS certification. Students are required to take 26 credit hours over two terms and then pass an exam to receive certification.     • Strayer University offers undergraduate certificates in information sciences. This program is designed to help students be competitive in the information systems job market. These information science certificates include elective certification exams for MCSE, Cisco and Oracle certifications. In the overall information sciences program, students learn the design, development and implementation of networks, databases, and software and web applications. Sample courses include computer security and computer forensics. A total of 27 credit hours is required to complete any of the information science programs. Strayer University has campuses in 89 locations throughout the United States and offers online courses. Tuition varies based on a variety of factors including location.

    Academy of Computer Education

    • The Academy of Computer Education specializes in information technology certifications. The school has updated their MCSE certifcation to the MCITP certification. The academy offers customized classes based on level of computer knowledge from beginner classes to experienced classes. Courses include Network Infrastructure Configuring and Network Administration. Tuition of $4,595 per person includes 96 hours of classes and an exam. The Academy of Computer Education has campuses in Maryland and Virginia. The school only accepts students who have graduated from high schools located in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

    • Avtech Institute of Technology offers a corporate boot camp with training for Microsoft certifications including MCSE, which has been updated to MCITP, as well as certifications including CompTIA, Cisco, Sun, Oracle and PMI. The school offers day, night and weekend classes in information technology. Avtech Institute of Technology has three locations in New Jersey: Eatontown, Fairfield and South Plainfield.
