Cornell University

• The 130-year-old program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, is one of the oldest and most respected schools of architecture in the country. The university offers two four-year degrees, a B.F.A. in architecture and a B.S. in the history of architecture, as well as a five-year degree for a bachelor's in architecture. It also offers a master's program in architecture.

Virginia Tech

• Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, College of Architecture and Urban Studies is located in Blacksburg, Virginia. The professional bachelor of architecture curriculum at Virginia Tech is a five-year program. All students in the School of Architecture and Design begin their studies in a common first-year foundation program, after which architecture students pursue professional studies. Virginia Tech also offers graduate programs in architecture.

Kansas State University

• The Department of Architecture at Kansas State University, located in Manhattan, Kansas, celebrated its centennial in 2003. It offers two degrees: an NAAB-accredited professional master of architecture and a post-professional master of science in architecture. There are approximately 300 students in the program and 25 full-time faculty in the department.
