Microsoft Engineer Training

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer training and certification is available through Microsoft. This certification is for experienced IT professionals, and Microsoft suggests that you have a few years of experience troubleshooting, installing and configuring networks before you begin certification.
  1. Benefits

    • Microsoft certification gives you a competitive advantage over other job candidates.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers have demonstrated their experience and a high level of proficiency with certain Microsoft Windows Servers. By getting your certification, you're proving to future employers and clients that you are highly skilled. This gives you an edge while job hunting, asking for pay increases, or getting new customers for your business.

    Considerations

    • IT training becomes outdated relatively quickly, since new technology is introduced so often.

MCSE certification is becoming outdated. MCSE certification applies to older systems. If you want to work with newer technology like SQL, Microsoft suggests you consider Microsoft Certified IT Professional certification. The Windows 2000 Server is no longer available for purchase, and support for Windows Server 2003 is no longer available.

    Exams

    • Microsoft states you must pass a total of seven examinations. You can take them in any order. They include one elective exam, one design exam, one exam on client operating systems, and four networking systems exams.
