Conducting an interview, whether it is via telephone, face-to-face or email, adds to the body of available information for your research paper or presentation. The American Psychological Association established editing guidelines for research papers which the behavioral science field uses. Citing an interview you conducted using APA style requires a different protocol than other types of source references. APA style dictates that personal interview references should only appear in your document as in-text citations and not in the reference section.
