Legal Document Training

There are many types of legal documents including, but not limited to, court filings, contracts, real estate forms, affidavits, memorandums of law, case briefs and transcripts of testimony. Because legal documents are complex, training is required to properly analyze, draft or file a particular document.
  1. Paralegal Education

    • A paralegal education provides a strong foundation in legal document training. Typical course work may include a hands-on approach to drafting and learning the key terms and how they relate to the case or transaction.

    Online Certification

    • Online programs offer a number of courses for legal document training. You can complete coursework on your home computer during the day or night.

    On the Job

    • In addition to an educational program, legal document training continues while you're on the job. Once you start working with real files and clients, you can review past records and filings, familiarize yourself about how each document is formatted and learn the finer points of legal document practice by actually doing it.

    Training Session

    • Large corporate litigation sometimes involves searching and sorting records through a database or through a large number of boxes called a document review. A lead attorney on the project may teach an on-site training session about how to recognize, categorize and tag relevant documents for litigation.
