Online Colleges for Fire Science Degrees

Several universities in the East offer online programs in fire science, but for a career in wildland fire, students should pursue an education in fire science from universities in the Western states. Many degree programs require basic courses in other areas of study, which can usually be pursued from local colleges. Students pursuing a career in fire---whether structural fire or wildland fire---should find out early in their studies which courses are required and which credits are transferable.
