Colleges for Doctoral Degrees in Optometry

If students want a career in optometry based academia or research, it's necessary to take a doctoral degree. Competition is high with colleges only ever having a few doctoral students at any one time. Depending on the nature of the research and the speed at which you work, expect to take over four years to complete the degree. Under virtually all circumstances, a Bachelor of Science degree is required to be considered.
