The online division of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh offers an accredited Bachelor of Science degree program for students who wish to pursue careers as professional photographers. Students can learn about photography fundamentals including composition, color, camera techniques and usages, image production and manipulation, visual expression and digital imagery. Instructors also include information about business essentials to help students market their services so they can use what they learn to begin a career in the fields of commercial and editorial photography as well as photojournalism and managing a photography studio. Students must complete 180 credit hours covering 12 quarters to complete this program and receive their diploma.
