The University of North Texas offers an online master's degree in applied anthropology. The program takes three years to complete. Students generally take two classes each fall and winter semester. All courses are online, but you must visit the campus for a two-day orientation and to present your final project. Required courses include anthropological thought and praxis, quantitative methods, and ethnographic and qualitative methods. Each class combines readings, real-time and asynchronous discussion groups, teleconferences, and group and individual projects.

Charter Oak State College offers an online option for completing a bachelor's degree in anthropology through a combination of online and video classes. Courses run in five-, eight- and 15-week sections. You can complete the degree without visiting Charter Oak State College in person. Video classes, however, sometimes require proctored exams, which can be arranged near your home. As orientation to the online format, you must take an online demonstration course before starting actual classes. Students can log in to their classes at any time. To graduate, you must complete a three-credit anthropological final project that demonstrates mastery of the subject matter.
