The University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts was founded in1929. The school offers courses in film, television and new media with the latest techniques and methodologies. Tisch School of Arts has a campus at New York University and in Singapore offering a degree in film, television and dramatic writing. The NYU campus spans from Wall Street to Midtown Manhattan in Greenwich Village. Tisch requires an audition portfolio for admission into their highly selective programs. The undergraduate program of the Institute of Film and Television offers the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts with grants, scholarships, awards and work study available to students. Graduate level programs are also available for earning master's degrees in film study.
The University of Iowa is a 1,900-acre campus in Iowa City in southeast Iowa. The Department of Cinema and Comparative Literature offers undergraduate studies with a focus in film, literature, translation, and relations with the other subjects of art.
