Located in Providence, Rhode Island, Brown has no core requirements for its students, who are permitted to select their courses from a wide variety of offerings as long as they fulfill their "concentration," or major, requirements. Located in Georgia, the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) also has campuses in Atlanta, Hong Kong and Lacoste, France. With more than 9,000 students, SCAD also boasts of more than 10% of its students coming from abroad. Focusing more on the applicants' portfolio and previous accomplishments, SCAD does still require the SAT: the average SCAD student scored between 480 and 590 on the SAT Critical Reading, between 470 and 580 on the SAT Math and between 470 and 580 on the SAT Writing. Students applying to the architecture program must have a minimum of 540 on the SAT Math.
