Visit the College Board website (see resources). Click on the "College Search" tab located across the top of the home page.
Click on the "Start Here" button under the "College MatchMaker" section in the middle of the page and choose the "Majors" tab on the following page.
Type in "Film" in the search box under the "Search for Majors" section. Press the "Go" icon to pull up a list of possible majors.
Select the "Film Production/Cinematography" major and click "Add to List." Scroll down to the bottom and click "See Results." A list of colleges with film degrees will appear. You can sort the list as you prefer, for example, alphabetical by state or college name, or by SAT scores.
Visit the Education Portal website (see resources). Click on the first dropdown menu and select "Visual and Performing Arts."
Select "Photography, Film and Video" for the second dropdown menu and "Cinematography and Film Production" for the third dropdown menu. Choose your degree level and preferred state. Click the "Go" button to begin the search.
Choose a school from the generated list. Click on the school name for more information regarding the film program and how to enroll.
Visit The Princeton Review's "Major Search" web page (see resources). Click the dropdown menu under "Choose a Category" and scroll down to "Visual and Performing Arts." Press "Go" to continue.
Select the "Film" major link. On the next page, click on the "Schools Offering the Major" link located above the "Basic Information" section.
Create a free profile by entering your email address and password. Click "Register in Seconds" to navigate to the next page, which has a list of colleges that offer film majors.
