Satisfy the minimum educational requirements. Minimum requirements include a General Education Diploma (GED) or high school diploma. Classroom prerequisites include psychology, English, chemistry, physiology, microbiology, algebra and anatomy.
Choose the degree program and educational institution. Select from an bachelor's degree, associate's degree or master's degree. Research accredited nursing programs through the online state board of nursing.
Submit an application to the educational institution.
Examine the nursing program course list. Enroll in the classes that you desire to take.
Fulfill the required number of course credits. A typical semester has a minimum of fifteen credit hours for full-time students. Three credit hours equals one course.
Achieve the minimum grade point average. The standards are graded on 4.0 scale and letter grades. Minimum standards are a "C" average which is 2.0 out of 4.0 on the scale.
Satisfy all tuition payments to the college. Some institutions will not allow you to receive your degree if you have outstanding debt obligations.
