Otis College of Art and Design originated in 1918. Since then, it has provided training in both traditional fine arts disciplines and, more recently, in digital and product design. Fine Arts students may major in painting photography or sculpture. Other disciplines include toy design, advertising and graphic design, fashion design and digital media. The college's main campus, located on the West Side of Los Angeles, includes a Spanish mission-style mansion and a seven-story cube building. As of February 2010, annual tuition costs for a full undergraduate course load total $31,360.

Founded in 1895, this small art college is the oldest art school in the region. The Roski School of Fine Arts offers courses in traditional visual arts disciplines, including painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture. The college, which enrolls approximately 275 undergraduate students and 50 graduate students, employs more than 60 faculty members. As of February 2010, undergraduate students can expect to pay about $19,225 in tuition for each semester.
