Broward College offers a two-year radiography program. Approximately 40 students are accepted into the program each year, and students must successfully complete 77 credit hours in order to graduate. Students split their time between the classroom and clinical work, which is done at hospitals located in Broward County. Graduates receive an associate of applied science degree and are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification exam.

Miami-Dade College offers two associate degree programs in the field. The associate of applied science degree program in radiography is a two-year program that requires 77 credit hours for completion. In addition to coursework there is a magnetic resonance imaging requirement.
The associate of science degree program in radiation therapy technology is also a two-year program. Admission to the program is limited, and the program only accepts applicants who are graduates of radiographer programs offered by other institutions. Applicants are also required to be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Students are allowed to transfer up to 57 credits from other colleges to fulfill degree requirements. Coursework focuses on such areas as radiation protection and safety and radiobiology.

With 10 campuses across the United States, MedVance provides training for students eager to work in the healthcare industry. MedVance has a campus in Fort Lauderdale, and educates students in X-ray positioning and standard practices. Students acquire in-depth knowledge and work with some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment available. The school's radiologic technology program awards students with an occupational associate degree. Graduates are able to become MRI technologists after passing the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists National Certification exam.

Although the college is based in Orlando, Broward students can take advantage of the online bachelor's of science degree program in radiological sciences. The program prepares students for employment in MRI technology and other radiological areas. The curriculum covers MRI and CT technology and mammography. The program typically takes between 18 and 24 months to complete, and includes 60 credit hours. Applicants must have already completed an associate degree program at an accredited institution and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 before applying. Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences also offers an associate degree program in radiography, as well as a certificate program in MRI technology, both of which must be completed on campus.
