Home of the Cougars basketball and volleyball teams, the downtown Clinton Community College campus provides educational services to 1,200 fully enrolled students a year. A technology center houses the printing and graphics programs, a mechatronics program and facilities for business and industry training. The college works with apartment owners to help students find housing near the campus. In 2009 the community college opened a state-of-the-art education center in the nearby city of Maquoketa, adjacent to the high school, offering computer labs, classrooms and meeting rooms.

With 1,200 students enrolled each year, the downtown Muscatine campus provides full educational courses for associates degree and college transfer students. At the Muscatine Industrial Technology Center, students have access to welding, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. The athletic teams, known as the Cardinals, play softball and baseball. An apartment complex on campus offers rentals for students needing on-site housing.

Scott Community College is the largest community college in the Eastern District. Its main campus is located in the industrial city of Bettendorf, and about 4,000 students are enrolled each year. An Applied Technologies Building is dedicated to auto and diesel mechanics, collision repair and HVAC training. The men's and women's soccer and golf teams are called the Eagles. A privately owned apartment complex a mile from campus is available for student housing. An additional campus in Davenport, Iowa, houses the John T. Blong Technology Center for industrial training for both students and local businesses.
