Loyola University offers a master's in Cultural and Education Policy Studies that takes one and a half years to complete. Courses offered in the program include Research Methods in Social Science, Sociological Foundations, Philosophy of Education, and Comparative and International Education. This program is not offered online but some courses may be offered in the evening or on Saturdays for students with full-time jobs.

Drexel University offers an online master's program in Global and International Education, which can be completed in two years. Courses offered include Introduction to Global, International and Comparative Education, Globalization and Educational Change and International Organizations in International Education. Graduates will be qualified to take on careers in ESL programs, education abroad, law firms, international education associations, accreditation agencies, local community international outreach centers, U.S. government and more. Graduates will also be qualified to act as administrators, managers or researchers.

SIT-Vermont offers an on-campus master's program in International Education. Phase 1 is academic coursework done September through May. Phase 2 is Professional Practicum done for at least 6 months. Phase 3 is the Capstone Paper and Seminar, combining the first two phases and a presentation of final work. The program can take approximately two years to complete but will vary based on student exploration.
