University College London offers an expansive and diverse load of coursework in its undergraduate biotechnology degree path. The three-year program is rooted in the basic principles and practices of experimental biochemistry, in addition to an introduction to biochemical engineering. The program also allows for investigation into the role of industry in bioprocesses. A research project or literature review in a biotechnology-related topic is required for the program's third and final year. Many graduates go on to graduate work in UCL's Biochemical Engineering, Biomedicine and Tissue Engineering programs.
