Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management offer two marketing MBA focuses; marketing and marketing management. The school's MBA marketing focus is grounded in an examination of the concepts, tools and practice of modern marketing. Students examine topics such as marketing research design, questionnaire construction, sampling as well as data collection and analysis. The program also tackles the marketing initiatives of business organizations specifically, with a special emphasis on the determination of pricing, communication strategies and marketing control.

The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania prepares MBA students with a foundation of courses in psychology, economics and statistics all of which lead to a better understanding of marketing strategies. Duke University's Fuqua School of Business offers a marketing concentration that prepares students for careers in consumer services, technology, business and health care marketing. The course is grounded in coursework focused on equity management, market identification and developing the firm/customer relationship. Elective programs include consumer behavior, strategy and tactics of pricing and supply chain management.
