The Department of Architecture at Harvard University has an international faculty, access to the Massachusetts of Technology resources and numerous traveling opportunities for students. Students can pursue a professional degree, Master in Architecture I, or a post-professional degree, Master in Architecture II. Students who did not complete undergraduate majors in design earn a professional degree that provides a broad foundation in practice, technology and history. Candidates must complete a thesis and internship prior to graduation. The post-professional degree emphasizes design; students may write a thesis if they choose. The faculty hosts department lectures, conferences and exhibitions throughout the year.
