Students on the acting track at Abilene Christian University receive a bachelor of fine arts degree. Courses include voice and diction, improvisation, movement, acting styles and directing. Prospective students must audition for the program with 30 seconds of a Broadway-style song and two 90-second monologues. Scholarships of $1,000 and $1,500 are available. The university's main stage and studio theater hold several performances each year that use student actors and directors. All students are required to take 15 hours of Bible study classes.

Texas Christian University offers a bachelor of fine arts in theater with an emphasis in acting. Courses include auditioning, period styles, Shakespeare, dialects and stage combat. Eighteen hours of "heritage, mission, vision and values" curriculum are also required as part of the general education. Scholarships are available by audition and interview. Applicants may audition for the program before freshmen year or while a student at TCU. All BFA students must undergo a portfolio review annually to determine whether the student is making satisfactory degree progress.

Students at George Fox University earn a bachelor of arts in theater with an emphasis on acting/directing. The program combines theory and performance classes to provide a well-rounded liberal arts education. Students perform at the on-campus University Theatre and as part of the touring University Players company. A "C-" average is required to stay in the theater school. The program's goal is to prepare "Christian artists to make meaningful contributions to our world."
