    • The JNTU School of Planning and Architecture is within the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University. This school specializes in urban design, structural engineering, architecture, regional planning, and environmental design.     • The Guwahati College of Architecture prepares its architecture students with a combination of technical and aesthetic training. The architecture program at the Guwahati College is a five-year program and is approved by the government of Assam and the Council of Architecture in India. Students enrolled in the Guwahati College of Architecture are required to complete courses in urban planning, regional planning, design, mechanics and building structures, building construction, landscape architecture, and environmental architecture.
