    • The Humber Institute of Technology, located in Toronto, Ontario, offers 200 programs in 40 study areas. With three campuses and eight academic schools to choose from, Humber provides certificates, apprenticeships, diplomas, postgraduate certificates and a limited number of four-year degrees. Fields of study include accounting, arts and performance, culinary arts, design, hospitality and tourism, media arts and communication, and web design and development. Many classes can be taken in-person, online or through correspondence. Most programs require students to be over 19 and have a grade 12 diploma. Humber also offers English-as-a-Second-Language programs and university preparation courses.

    • Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia Community College has an enrollment of more than 25,000 students. With 13 campuses around the province, the school emphasizes practical, hands-on learning and small class sizes. Potential students can apply as early as grade 11. Academic schools include applied arts and new media, business, health and human services and trades and technology. Students can earn a degrees, diplomas and certificates. Nova Scotia Community College also provides student services through the School of Access, including programs such as adult learning, academic and career connections, African Canadian transition program and English for academic purposes.

    Vancouver Community College

    • Vancouver Community College offers university-transfer degrees, certificates, diplomas and a range of adult basic education programs. Areas of study include business, design, health sciences, human services, hospitality, instructor and teaching training, music, dance, sign language, technology and transportation trades. Basic education options include English-as-a-Second Language courses, high school diploma and English and math for grades 1 through 8. Vancouver Community College also offers apprenticeship training in areas such as automotive collision repair, baking and pastry arts, culinary arts and heavy duty mechanics.
