With 13 campuses around the province, the school emphasizes practical, hands-on learning and small class sizes. Potential students can apply as early as grade 11. Areas of study include business, design, health sciences, human services, hospitality, instructor and teaching training, music, dance, sign language, technology and transportation trades. Basic education options include English-as-a-Second Language courses, high school diploma and English and math for grades 1 through 8. Vancouver Community College also offers apprenticeship training in areas such as automotive collision repair, baking and pastry arts, culinary arts and heavy duty mechanics.
