With five campuses throughout Michigan, Oakland Community College (OCC) is the largest community college in the state. OCC has an annual enrollment of more than 75,000 students at its five campus locations each year. OCC offers Associate Degrees in five areas of study, including business, science and liberal arts. OCC fields 10 men's and women's athletic teams that compete in seven different sports. Wayne County Community College (WCCC) has approximately 60,000 students in attendance at the college's five campuses each year. WCCC fields seven men's and women's athletic teams that compete in four different sports, and the school is a member of the Michigan Community College Athletic Association. WCCC's women's basketball team won the National Junior College Athletic Association championship in 2004.

Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) offers student more than 100 areas of study in which to earn an Associate Degree or a certificate of completion. The school, located about five miles from Detroit in Dearborn, has an annual enrollment of almost 14,000 students. In addition to its traditional classes, HFCC offers students the opportunity to take classes in an online format. The school features a wireless campus for increased access to learning materials. HFCC fields seven men's and women's athletic teams that compete in four different sports. The school competes in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association on the National Junior College Athletic Association.
