Colleges That Offer Courses in Social Work

Social workers play a valuable role in society. They often help those who cannot help themselves by providing counseling, service referrals, and economic relief through various government-funded programs. Abused children, disabled individuals and those who are economically destitute often receive the help of social workers. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the number of jobs for social workers will increase by 16 percent by 2018. People who want to make a difference in society and work in a growing job market may want to consider social work as a career option.
