Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, or IUPUI, offers both a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in construction engineering technology management and a Master of Science (M.S.) in the same field. The IUPUI program gives students the broadest range of opportunity by offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees in this field. The B.S. degree requires students to complete 124 credit hours. The degree program combines the fields of engineering, construction science and business management. The M.S. program is an interdisciplinary program with several areas of possible specialization: organizational supervision and leadership, applied information technology, facilities management, construction education and construction management engineering technology. ITT Technical Institute is a school that combines technical training with traditional general education components in many of its degree programs. ITT Tech also has schools located nationwide, especially in various metropolitan locations like Indianapolis. ITT Tech offers a Bachelor of Science in construction management. Ivy Tech Community College offers an associate degree for those who wish to break into the field without pursuing a bachelor's degree. The degree program requires between 65 and 65 credit hours for completion. Of these, 21 to 23 hours are in the general education field, while the remainder are core courses for construction management. Construction management courses include studies in strength of materials, construction graphics and print reading, surveying, project control and planning, concrete and soils and construction estimating.
