Nova Southeastern University's main campus is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and it has satellite campuses in Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Orlando and Palm Beach. The university offers master's degrees on campus and online in school counseling and mental health. The two APA-accredited doctoral programs offered are on campus and include an internship at the culmination of the program. Students complete practicum hours in the CPS Psychology Services Center, which offers psychological services to the community. Forensic psychology is offered as a specialization or concentration requiring about 12 hours of coursework.

Located in Melbourne, Florida, the Florida Institute of Technology program is campus-based, accredited by the APA and gives students access to licensure in any state. According to FIT, "The program leading to the Psy.D. is based on a practitioner/scientist model and is committed to the Vail model of training and the training conferences of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology (NCSPP)." The program is offered as a doctorate in clinical psychology with an elective concentration in forensic psychology. The student is required to complete a written comprehensive exam. An internship at an APA-recognized facility completes the curriculum.

Nationally accredited and recognized by the APA, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology offers forensic psychology as a doctoral program at its Chicago, Los Angeles and Irvine, California, campuses and a master's program at its Chicago and Washington, D.C., locations. The Psy.D. program takes four to five years for completion, while the master's program is about two years in length. Students at the Chicago School participate in hands-on, practical and classroom experiences and are placed in internships within the community. The Chicago facility has a forensic center offering students functional learning conditions in real-world situations.
