Admission requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, and admission is based on a review of undergraduate academic performance and scores on the Graduate Record Examination. Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, has a master's program in forensic psychology that works in partnership with London Metropolitan University and the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit. In addition to the requirement for a bachelor's degree, Marymount requires M.A. candidates for forensic psychology to have completed 32 hours in the University's Community Counseling program. Once admitted, students will have to complete 75 hours of course work. Field work is done with the FBI Research Project, homicide recidivism risk assessment, stress in female federal law enforcement officers, parental rights and child custody and psychological autopsy research.
