California Baptist University offers students a straight MA in Forensic Psychology as well as a dual master's degree in Counseling Psychology and Forensic Psychology. Both courses are designed to provide students with an overview of the practice of Forensic Psychology, helping them understand the important issues in the field, explore the critical relationship between the legal system and clinical psychology, and to better understand the relationship and application of psychological theories and practice the field of law enforcement.
The University of Denver's Program places emphasis on enabling students to gain practical experience in Forensic Psychology. Students work closely with a number of organizations, government-funded facilities and private practices. Examples include working with prosecutors of domestic violence cases, providing early intervention for at-risk youth, and working as a deputy probation officer.
Marymount's Forensic Psychology program teaches students a combination of subjects related to forensic psychology, including; sociology, criminal justice and public policy, in addition to the many subfields of psychology. They allow students to study abroad at the London Metropolitan University in England, participate in research through an agreement with the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit, and secure internships in the Forensic Psychology field.
The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology offers an MA in Forensic and Counseling Psychology. This program explores the relationship between psychology and the legal system, and trains students to apply psychological principles to legal issues in judicial, correctional, clinical, administrative and educational systems. It emphasizes developing students into professionals who are committed to the ethical providing of quality services to culturally diverse clients, agencies and organizations.
Roger Williams University's Master's in Forensic Psychology seeks to provide students with the training needed to work as legal or forensic consultants and evaluators in the areas of forensic assessments, custody issues, suicide evaluation, expert testimony, jury selection, program evaluation, injury assessments and Social Security Disability requirements.
