Open an Internet browser and conduct a keyword search of the name of the college you want to attend.
Select a link that takes you to the college's homepage, and locate the college's contact information. Every college website has a search feature and a wealth of information specific to each office or department.
Contact the registrar's or admissions' office at the school to which you want to transfer. Visit, call or email the registrar's office. State that you are a current Ashworth College student, and explain that you would like to transfer. Then, ask for the student transfer policies.
Contact the head of the department you will be a part of. For example, if you are a business major, contact the chair of the business department. Ask questions about departmental requirements and expectations.
Complete the transfer application by the department's and college's deadlines. These deadlines may not be the same. Apply by the earlier date.
Fill out the "Transcript Request Form" from Ashworth College. If you have trouble locating the form on the school's website, contact the following email address: [email protected]. The first transcript is free, but there is a $5 charge for each additional transcript.
Apply for financial aid. There may be funds available specifically for transfer students in the beginning or the middle of the academic year.
