Find out if the accreditation status of the intended college or university is approved by ACI or USDoE or CHEA. Call the intended school's admissions office and ask if the school accepts ACI-approved transcripts or coursework.
Ask admissions offices at prospective colleges or universities if it is acceptable to submit a detailed description of each class taken at the ACI college. Include the ACI college's course catalog with the detailed list.
Realize that the intended school might accept you into its program, but not accept previous work completed at an ACI-approved school. Ask ACI school instructors to write letters describing the coursework completed during the various semesters. Submit copies of the letters with the detailed descriptions of the courses themselves.
Speak to or email the heads of each department in your intended major at the prospective colleges or universities about previous coursework and courses that can transfer. Email them or send a link of the current ACI college's course catalog online, so they can judge whether the courses are valid and can transfer.
Determine your purpose for going to a school or university outside of ACI institutions so your time and money are not wasted.
