The Tisch School of Arts at New York University has been an integral part of the New York City culture scene for more than forty years. With programs in Film and Television, New Media, Performing Arts, Art and Public Policy and Recorded Music, the community of artist students at Tisch have a broad range of talents. Known for having one of the most reputable theater programs in the country, Tisch also features tremendously talented faculty in Dramatic Writing, Performance Studies, Musical Theatre Writing and Photography and Imaging.
With an average of 3,200 students enrolled in 14 departments, Tisch offers BFA, MFA, MA, MPS and PhD degrees. A leader in both undergraduate and graduate art studies, Tisch provides students with state-of-the-art facilities in which to grow and to create. With links to many cultural organizations across New York, it also connects students with a host of professional in various fields and internship opportunities across the board.

Featured on the hit television show Project Runway, Parsons The New School for Design offers 27 undergraduate, associate and graduate degree programs to a diverse community of students. Six branches compose Parsons, including the School of Constructed Environments, the School of Fashion, the School of Art and Design History and Theory, the School of Art, Media and Technology, Pre-College and Continuing Studies and the School of Design Strategies.
Parsons enrolls nearly 5,000 graduate and undergraduate students each year, with an average of 2,000 additional students enrolled in single courses. One hundred and twenty-five full-time faculty team up with 1,000 part time faculty to offer a variety of perspectives throughout the programs. With a focus on developing critical thinking skills in both focused training programs and interdisciplinary studies, Parsons presents a range of challenges to its students "from environmental degradation to physical accessibility and humanitarian crises." In a network of design laboratories, Parsons connects students not only to each other but to both the local community of New York City and the global community of art.
Every graduate of Parsons takes with them a foundation in the principals of collaboration in their work. With the belief that the human imagination has the ability to change the world, Parsons encourages students to find their perspective not only as artists but as storytellers, explorers, lovers of beauty and of community.
The New York Academy of Art focuses on skills in figurative drawing, painting and sculpture for each of its artists under the belief that mastering these disciplines will provide the foundation to create a personal vision. Building on a great tradition of master artists' studies of the complexities and nuances of the body's artistic representation, the New York Academy of Art gives its students the tools and the focus to devote themselves to such a study as they pursue an MFA.
Enrolled students are provided with either communal or semi-private studio spaces and access to an extensive library of more than 6,500 books, 12,000 slides, 150 videos and 50 periodical subscriptions. In addition, the school owns a collection of 59 nineteenth century plaster casts of Classical, Renaissance and European sculpture. This barely scratches the surface of the facilities provided at the New York Academy of Art, which also includes a drawing resource room and exhibition space.
The Art Institute of New York City offers programs in graphic design, web design and interactive media, digital filmmaking, fashion design and interior design. Located in downtown Manhattan, the Art Institute trains graduates for "entry-level positions through concentrated, highly structured programs of study that reflect the needs of a changing job market."
The Art Institute of New York City is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. It awards only associate degrees to students, with a constant focus on helping them to successfully enter the job market.
