How to Cite Movie Titles in APA

Cite movie titles in American Psychological Association format to include them in your reference list when writing college papers or personal writing as a means of verifying content. The movie will be cited under the motion picture guidelines and will include basic information about the movie should your audience need to obtain a copy. All lines after the first line for each reference should be indented.

Instructions

      Type the last name of the producer, followed by his first and middle initials, followed by a period. Use a comma after the last name. Space once.

      Type an ampersand ("&") and then the last name of the director, followed by a comma, then his first and middle initials, followed by a period. Space once.

      Type the year of release in parentheses, followed by a period. Space once.

      Type the title of the movie in italics, followed by a period. Space once.

      Type the name of the country where the movie was released, followed by a colon. Space once.
