How to Cite Quarterly Reports In MLA Format

MLA format is an officially recognized citation format created by the Modern Language Association. MLA format is accepted by most high schools and universities and is generally considered the standard when it comes to correctly citing a research source. Citing a quarterly report using MLA format is done using MLA's recommended periodical citations.

      Include the author of the report, last name first, followed by a period.

      Put the title of the report in quotations with a period at the end.

      Add the title of the periodical, if applicable, in italics, also followed by a period.

      Write the date of the report and the page on which you found your information in the following format: Day Month Year: Pages.

      Include a description of the medium of publication. For example, "Magazine."

      Review your citation. It should look like this: Lastname, Firstname. "Article Title." Periodical Title (in italics) 12 December 2011: Pages 20-21. Magazine.
