With over 27,000 students in attendance annually, Mesa Community College (MCC) offers a wide range of two-year associate degree programs, from business, to elementary education, to science and general studies. MCC also offers dozens of certificate programs. In addition to general coursework, The Associated Students of MCC offers a variety of clubs, including the Phi Beta Lamda business society, the Music Industry Club, Philosophy Club and the Pre-Med Club. MCC caters to students needing a flexible education schedule by offering not just day and evening classes, but online and weekend courses as well.
The East Valley campus of Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Mesa offers a variety of flexible programs to help fit busy lifestyles. NAU East provides traditional in-classroom courses as well as online classes for Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Applied Science programs. NAU East also offers dozens of Masters degree programs ranging from health sciences and education to professional writing and public management. Classroom locations for the East Valley Campus vary, but include Gilbert High School, Desert Hills High School, Mesa Community College and Hamilton High School -- all within the Mesa metro area.
A.T. Still University of Health and Sciences (ATSI) provides graduate students with a "whole person" health care education. The Mesa campus is home to ATSU's School of Dentistry and Oral Health and the School of Health Sciences. The School of Dentistry's education program is a four-year curriculum, beginning with health sciences and general dentistry in the first two years, with practice in Mesa's on-campus clinic and other local health centers in the third and fourth year. Meanwhile, the School of Health Sciences offers both residential and distance education programs in practices including audiology, occupational therapy and athletic training.
The east campus of Arizona State University (ASU) is known as ASU Polytechnic. With a yearly enrollment of over 9,700 students, ASU's technological and professional programs at this East Valley campus include thousands of square feet of laboratory space for hands-on student projects. Degree-granting programs at ASU Polytechnic include the W.P. Carey School of Business, the School of Letters and Sciences, the Mary Lou Fulton Teacher's College and the College of Technology and Innovation.
