Georgia Southern University offers an Ed.S. program that can be taken online, on campus or a combination of the two. The courses in this program center on advanced educational training and skills for implementing those techniques.
Located in Athens, the college of education offers several Ed.S. degrees, including one offered as part of the master's in educational administration and policy. The program concentrates on imparting world teaching skills as well as research skills and administrative policies. Eligible candidates can take courses that include educational policy and educational analysis. Educational specialist degrees also are available in specialized fields such as professional school counseling and teaching English as a second language.
