Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a fully accredited university devoted exclusively to aviation. Embry-Riddle has two residential campuses. The original campus is in Daytona Beach, Florida, and the other campus is in Prescott, Arizona. Embry-Riddle offers four-year bachelor's degree programs in every aspect of aviation-related technology, including flight training. Airlines hire more pilots from Embry-Riddle then any other college in the United States. Embry-Riddle also has the largest aerospace engineering program in America, and has the largest Air Force ROTC unit. In addition to its two main campuses, Embry-Riddle also operates 170 off-campus facilities at colleges and flight schools throughout the country.

Ohio State offers an undergraduate major in aviation through the university's College of Engineering, College of Business, and College of Arts and Sciences. Each college has its own admission requirements to the aviation program. Students in the College of Engineering study aeronautical engineering and computer science. St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud Minnesota offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation. The program at St. Cloud State is accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI) and offers three areas of specialization. The "Professional Flight" curriculum includes flying lessons and prepares students for a career as a professional pilot.
